This article analyzes the new crime of omission of the mandatory reporting by canon law, outlined in the new can. 1376 § 6 CIC. In particular, the constituent elements of the same are examined in detail (the active subject, the objective and subjective criminal elements) as well as the particular exemptions that can be configured for the only case of required reporting, currently provided for by the motu proprio Vos estis lux mundi.
