Psychology and Formation of Candidates for the Priesthood: A Juridical Approach

This article deals with the theme of the use of psychology in the path of discernment and formation of candidates for the priesthood. Starting from the most important contributions of the magisterium, which highlight the usefulness of psychological tools, the relationship between the trainer and the candidate is juridically outlined. A correct approach requires a careful consideration of the relationship between the right-duty of the institution in charge to properly know the candidates and the legitimate right of each person to the protection of their intimacy.
