Institutions of finance in Praedicate evangelium

Abstract

Apostolic Constitution “Praedicate evangelium” (2022) on the Roman Curia gathers together the changes introduced during the current Pontificate to the institutions established for the administration and management of the resources needed to carry out the mission of the Curia. The present article gives a brief summary of the organs foreseen in the previous law and of the main reform made by Pope Francis in 2014. It presents a description of the competences and organization of the “Institutions of Finance” as they appear in the Seventh Part of the Apostolic Constitution. The study concludes recalling stewardship as a bearer of trans­parency and accountability in managing the assets of the Roman Curia.
