This article aims to highlight the dangers for the overall juridical experience of the Church, presented by the choice of codification adopted by the canonical legislator in promulgating the 1917 Code. This article will also consider the particular dangers to juridical science’s unfailing task of recognizing the ius and its ultimate foundation.
